As you know, there will be three hymns sung by the whole congregation during the Big Assembly on Friday 17th September. The words to these hymns are available online so that everyone, no matter where they are, can join in on the day. We hope that every pupil in every Catholic school will be watching the Big Assembly and will be able to sing along.
The hymns can be accessed by clicking the links below:
Siyahamba (We are walking in the light of God)
Fill your hearts with joy and gladness (to the tune of Ode to Joy)
Happy singing!
Where can we get the music for the 3 hymns for Friday’s Big Assembly so my junior and infant (and music teacher) children can practice them beforehand?
Thank you and God Bless.

Hi John
Links to the words of the hymns are available online via the links above. You can find the music in most hymn books if you want the instrumental parts.

Are the words correct on the link as the words do not match the music in our hymn book and they do not match what is written in the Magnificat for Saturday evening either?

Will the words to the hymns be shown on the screen or will the children need to have copies of the words here in school?

Hi
I am also preparing our school for the big assembly. You can download for free:
Fill your hearts with joy and gladness
and
Tell out my soul
instrumentals at http://www.hymnswithoutwords.com
However there is nothing for Siyahamba (We are walking in the light of God)
hope this helps!
